Position: 
Workshop Instructor

Instructors are responsible for leading and providing instructional candle making classes while ensuring an exceptional brand experience for customers through product knowledge, hospitality, and customer service.  We are not a typical candle shop, we provide an immersive experience that resonates with our customers and brand. If you're personable, vibrant, willing to learn, able to build relationships with existing and potential customers, you may be a great addition to our growing team!

Qualifications:

  • Comfortable speaking to groups - great communicator while maintaining genuine enthusiasm
  • Passion to provide genuine hospitality
  • Self motivated, organized, comfortable multi tasking
  • Ability to work well individually and within a small team environment
  • 2+ years of customer service, sales in retail or hospitality industry is highly preferred, but willing to train the right person
  • Ability to work weekends - Saturday, Sunday, and some Friday
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move 45lbs - wax can be heavy

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead instructional workshops of up to 16 guests
  • Interacting with guests to create a unique experience
  • Setup and breakdown of workshop materials
  • Maintaining a clean and well stocked floor
  • Light marketing

We've been making waves since 2021 with our online presence and have recently expanded to a physical location in beautiful Berkeley, CA. Our candle making workshops offer an immersive olfactory experience that engages all senses while we guide guests through the candle making process. Our goal is to invite guests to create candles that remind them of JIĀ, home.
